David Parums draws on his experience both as a knifemaker and jeweller to create unique rings, handcrafted from Damascus steel, tantalum, titanium and only the best golds.

Damascus steel has its origins in the glowing forge of the Japanese swordsmith. These skilled metalsmiths would repeatedly fold and forge raw steel to purify and strengthen each sword, leaving behind a distinctive yet subtle wood grain like pattern in the blade. Modern Damascus steel is created using a similar process, but purposely combines steels of

differing chemical makeup to create bolder and more vibrant patterns than those achieved in ancient times.

David’s Damascus is created from high quality “300 series” jewellery grade stainless steels known for their fantastic compatibility with skin, durability and anti-corrosion properties.

Titanium has been used in the making of jewellery for many decades and is known for being strong, durable, light-weight and hypoallergenic. It’s a cool silver/grey naturally and its surface can darkened through sandblasting.

Tantalum is a new material in the field with David being one of the very few jewellers working in it. It’s also very durable and hypoallergenic, yet tantalum is a fairly weighty material. It’s a stunning deep blue/grey naturally and it’s this colour that sets it apart from other metals used for jewellery.
